SAF401 Door Switch
A magnetic door switch is to be installed on each access point (most commonly the main entry door) into the radiation compound. The magnetic switch allows for a contactless switching between the door and frame and therefore lowers the chance of damage for the switch and in turn prolongs the switches expected life. The Door switch contains two circuits which act in opposing ways. When door is opened it breaks one safety circuit and makes a second safety circuit. If either circuit shows the door open state the safety system detects this and the appropriate signals are given to the operator. If radiation is detected in the compound when the door is opened the Warning Siren is sounded (Pulsed tone). The opposing actions of the safety circuit also allows the control box to detect if a switch has been damaged.
